Capturing the right moment can be a challenge. Unfortunately, many of today's most popular cameras simply are not up to that challenge. Most digital cameras and point n' shoots are plagued by "shutter lag" – a maddening delay between the time you press the button and when your camera actually takes a picture. That's because these cameras are taking their own sweet time focusing and calculating exposure before they can get around to capturing a particular moment.
And by the time they do, that moment usually is gone.
